Local 99 Scholarship Fund
Local 99 maintains a dedicated fund to provide scholarships for continuing education and training to our members. Our fund exists to support members of the Local with advancing their musical capabilities and employment opportunities through advanced study, anywhere in the world.
Do I qualify for a scholarship?
You could be an ideal candidate if:
- You are a Local 99 musician who has been a member in good standing for at least two consecutive years prior to your application
- You will use the scholarship in the 12 month period of May 1st through the following April.
- You agree to return to the professional music community of the Local 99 jurisdiction for a period of not less than one year following the study provided by the scholarship.
Qualified recipients are eligible for up to $600, paid directly to the institution or teacher concerned. For more information, you can read the Scholarship Fund’s full Prospectus here.
Applications are due by April 1st; awards are announced by May 1st. To apply, download the application and submit it to the Local 99 Secretary-Treasurer.
